Inovec is a leading manufacturer of optimization systems focusing primarily on small log mills in the appearance wood industry. Inovec’s flagship product is the YieldMaster, a headrig carriage optimizer that has become the industry standard for log scanning. Inovec often acts as a turnkey supplier for its customers, integrating a complete system of optimization equipment and associated material handling and cutting machinery. Inovec, which was founded in 1980, was acquired by InVision Technologies in 2000 and then a GE subsidiary acquired InVision Technologies in 2004.

USNR is the largest U.S.-based manufacturer of sawmill equipment in the forest products industry including well-known brands such as Perceptron, HEMCO, Irvington-Moore, Kockums, Schurman, Lunden, among others. From their headquarters facility in Woodland, Washington and five other North American locations, USNR specializes in designing, manufacturing, and installing sawmill machinery, optimization software, and automation technology. Equipment lines cover a broad spectrum of machinery, including dry kilns, carriages, edgers, debarkers, sorters, and stackers.

Acquisitions Northwest was engaged by General Electric corporate’s Business Development group to represent the company in divesting Inovec, Inc. for the General Electric Industrial, Security business group. Acquisitions Northwest designed and prepared offering materials, researched the industry for strategic fits, monitored due diligence, and assisted in the negotiations and eventual closing. Inovec was the seventh transaction that Acquisitions Northwest has consummated in the forest products equipment manufacturing industry in the past several years.
